Complete history of Pakistan from 1947
to 2021 lecture. When the UK's Indian Empire was divided into separate nations
upon its independence in August 1947, Pakistan was born as an Islamic state. It
was initially divided into West Pakistan, which is now Pakistan, and East
Pakistan, which is now Bangladesh, by 1,600 km of Indian land. Following the
division of the country, there was a battle with India over Kashmir and a
large-scale migration of Muslims, Hindus, and Sikhs to dwell within the new
borders, causing widespread violence, financial loss, and fatalities.
Pakistan's Hindus and Sikhs left the country, while Indian Muslims moved in,
making the country almost totally Muslim. Known as the Quaid-i-Azam, or great
leader, Jinnah passed away in 1948.
